We want your knowledge and expertise Job Summary The IPS Data Solutions Manager oversees a team of personnel focused on designing, developing, and deploying governance, risk, and compliance software and data solutions for Information Protection & Security. The role applies cybersecurity concepts and knowledge in the development of digital solutions to support a comprehensive strategy. The scope of responsibilities includes data integrations, correlations, automations, and analytics. The IPS Data Solutions manager is responsible for guiding staff on the standards and best practices for software and data engineering. The IPS Data Solutions manager will manage solution implementations in support of the CSOu2019s mission. The solutions are critical to HCAu2019s strategy for compliance with HIPAA Security, Sarbanes-Oxley, Payment Card Industry compliance, and other regulations. This role will help define product roadmaps, set problem priorities, and provide direction and priority to delivery teams. The role will be responsible for sizing development efforts based on requirements, managing break fix, technical debt, and backlogs. The IPS Data Solutions manager will provide guidance and oversight to personnel covering all stages of engineering from requirements to deployment and ongoing enhancements. This work includes engaging and collaborating with stakeholders on requirements for process automation, program measurement, and executive reporting. This role should demonstrate an understanding of complex ideas, set and broadly communicate a product technology strategy, and meet the needs of the team and stakeholders. This role requires attentive listening and demonstrating strong executive presence. Major Responsibilities: + Collaborate with teams across HCA to set and evangelize product technology vision, strategy, metrics and roadmaps while influencing product and feature rollouts + Leverage industry best practices and conform to software and data engineering standards. + Facilitate a unified implementation approach from gathering requirements through design and implementation. + Provide application maintenance services throughout the lifecycle of supported solutions. + Collaborate with information security architects, software architects, and infrastructure teams to ensure optimal designs and controls are in place for solution delivery. + Develop and oversee the implementation of security data and software engineering processes and standards. + Ensure the formation of clear processes and service levels agreements for supported applications. + Facilitate the development of metrics, reports, and dashboards for executives, business owners, and stakeholders. + Monitor and manage performance of onsite staff, remote staff, as well as contracted resources. + Guide architecture, design, code migration and deployment of software solutions and data stores + Incorporate security controls, techniques, and tools to support Information Security teams + Proven and strong critical thinking skills u2022Proven consensus building and negotiation skills for coordination with multiple teams + Communicate effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences + Build healthy trust and partnership relationships with staff, leadership, stakeholders, peers, and vendors + Work with leadership in resolving conflicts involving staff, vendors, stakeholders, and business partners + Effectively lead teams who provide a mix of Operational and Engineering work Education & Experience: + Bachelor's degree Information Systems Preferred + Master's degree Preferred + 3+ years of experience in managing or leading highly technical teams or labor resourcesRequired + 7+ years of experience in software solutioning, data engineering, or similar roles Preferred + 5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity or Healthcare developing enterprise data-centric solutions Preferred Other Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Behaviors: + Demonstrates an empathetic and growth mindset with a willingness to learn new skills, technologies, and methodologies. Required + Strong knowledge of public cloud best practices and design patterns used in creating, automating, and supporting data pipelines. Required + Strong ability to identify, design, and implement internal process improvements including redesigning data platforms for greater scalability, optimized data delivery, and automating manual processes.Required + Strong ability to create and use analytical tools to monitor data pipeline metrics and provide actionable intelligence to increase operational efficiency and valuable data outcomes. Required + Experience with Governance, Risk, and Compliance technologies Required + Strong ability to present and facilitate technical ideas. Required + Strong understanding of SQL and analytical data warehouses Required + Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and how to apply Agile within the team. Required + Helps coach and mentor junior team members and others external to the team.
