If you're passionate about using technology to improve human life, this is where your work truly matters What you will accomplish in this role The Director of DT&I Communications leads enterprise-wide communications that drive understanding, alignment, and adoption of Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I) initiatives and the digital and AI-enabled products being designed, developed, and delivered across HCA Healthcare. This role owns the strategic narrative for DT&I and leads a communications team responsible for translating product and change strategies into clear, compelling, and actionable communications that support awareness, readiness, and adoptionu2014while remaining fully aligned to HCA Healthcareu2019s enterprise brand, voice, and overarching story. Operating at the intersection of digital transformation, AI-enabled products, innovation culture, and change management, the Director ensures DT&Iu2019s vision, value, and progress are consistently and effectively communicated to stakeholders at all levels of the organization. The role partners closely with Product Change Management, Stakeholder Engagement, Marketing, Corporate Affairs, and other key communications partners to deliver integrated communications that support product launches, sustained adoption, and enterprise understanding of DT&Iu2019s impact. This leader balances strategic narrative-setting with hands-on leadership and execution, overseeing a team of communications professionals responsible for content development, creative assets, and delivery across multiple channels and audiences. What you will do in this role: Strategic Leadership & Partnership + Serve as a strategic partner to DT&I Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement leadership to design and deliver integrated communications that support product readiness, stakeholder engagement, enterprise transformation, and successful adoption of digital and AI-enabled products. + Align communications strategies to the DT&I product lifecycle, ensuring consistency in messaging, channels, timing, and stakeholder experience from design through delivery and adoption. + Lead DT&Iu2019s editorial strategy and messaging architecture, overseeing content development, cadence, and execution across internal and external-facing communications. + Translate complex digital, AI, and technology concepts into clear, compelling, and actionable messaging tailored to diverse enterprise audiences. + Partner with Change Management to understand change impacts and stakeholder readiness, developing targeted messaging, toolkits, templates, and communications assets that support adoption and sustained use. + Oversee DT&I communications channels and vehicles, including intranet strategy, newsletters, leadership updates, videos, collateral, and innovation storytelling. + Establish and monitor communications effectiveness measures to assess reach, understanding, and contribution to product adoption and engagement. + Serve as a steward of the HCA Healthcare brand for DT&I communications, ensuring alignment with enterprise brand standards, reputation considerations, and responsible AI principles. Communications Team Leadership & Governance + Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing DT&I Communications team, including content creators and creative professionals. + Establish clear priorities, standards, and workflows to ensure timely, high-quality delivery across enterprise and product-specific communications. + Coach and develop team members to strengthen strategic thinking, storytelling, and execution excellence in a dynamic transformation environment. + Drive continuous improvement by implementing governance, repeatable frameworks, and best practices that improve communications efficiency, consistency, and scalability. + External Communications & Risk Management + Serve as a primary liaison to Corporate Communications and Media Relations for external communications related to DT&I, including vendor partnerships, innovation storytelling, and thought leadership. + Provide counsel on sensitive issues, risk mitigation, and crisis communications related to digital transformation, innovation, AI, and technology initiatives, in coordination with enterprise partners. + Ensure communications related to AI-enabled products are accurate, ethical, and aligned with enterprise governance and responsible AI standards. What qualifications you will need: + Master's degree - Preferred + Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, or Public Relations - Required + 7+ years of progressive communications experience, preferably within a large healthcare system, technology-driven organization, or major national brand - Required Other Required Skills and Experience + Demonstrated experience leading and developing communications teams, including product, technology, or innovation communications. + Strong product communications expertise, including lifecycle communications, launches, and sustained adoption support. + Exceptional written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. + Ability to translate complex concepts into clear, audience-specific messaging. + Strong organizational, prioritization, and time-management skills. + Experience working with change management and stakeholder engagement functions to drive adoption and readiness. + Demonstrated ability to build trust, influence without authority, and sustain cross-functional relationships. + Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Excel + Clear, consistent, and measurable communications that support DT&I product adoption and stakeholder alignment. + Scalable communications frameworks and materials that enable effective engagement across enterprise audiences. + High-performing, engaged communications team delivering ongoing, high-impact program communications. Work Location/Schedule: + Nashville, TN area (near Centennial Park) + Onsite: M-F, 8am u2013 5pm Travel Required: + Occasional Travel: The job may require travel from time- to-time, but not on a regular basis.
