Join us Discover why U.S. News & World Report has named us one of Americau2019s Best Hospitals What you will be doing: The Simulation Center Trainer provides professional support through the assistance with the coordination and delivery of health education for simulation educational program(s). Assists with schedules and presents group classes on subject areas of need for the Simulation Center. Assesses effectiveness of class / content and revises as needed. Assists with developing, securing, and maintaining any equipment or instructional materials needed to conduct classes. Primary Duties and Responsibilities + Maintains the highest standards and integrity of the programs instructed. + Coordinates the delivery of education programs under the Simulation Center. Assesses needs of class participants and modifies class content or teaching methods to meet those needs. + Arranges and coordinates room set-up and availability of materials. Transports all educational equipment and ensures all instructional equipment is functioning properly working with the Simulation Specialists. + Submits records of training activities including attendance rosters, assignments and class evaluations. Ensures all information is entered into relevant programs to support administrative records. + Assists with the promotion and advertisement of all education programs externally as appropriate and following the appropriate marketing and department guidelines. Qualifications Educational Requirements: + High School Diploma/GED required + Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred License/Certification Requirements: + Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS/ALS) preferred. + CA RN License, Licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner, or National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians - Paramedic preferred upon hire Experience Requirements: + Two (2) years of clinical experience in Emergency Care, Trauma, Critical Care (i.e. Trauma ICU, Trauma OR, Emergency department Pre-hospital or Flight Medicine) required + Two (2) years of teaching classes and/or conducting training programs in one or more national recognized courses. (i.e. TNCC, PHTLS, ACLS-EP, PALS, ENPC, TECC, EMS Program) preferred Travel & Scheduling Requirements: + Occasional travel to offsite locations to teach courses and educational events + Scheduling flexibility and timeliness including evening and occasional weekend commitments.Cedars-Sinai is an EEO employer.
