JOB REQUIREMENTS: Human Resources Manager Society of St. Vincent dePaul-Madison Madison, WI JOB SUMMARY: The Human Resources Manager servesas the primary lead for employee relations, workplace investigations,and leave management across St. Vincent de Paul-Madison, while providingcritical operational support to the Sr. Director of Human Resources.This role assumes day-to-day responsibility for complex HR matters whilesupporting the organization's mission to serve neighbors in need withdignity and compassion. The HR Manager works across a complex nonprofitorganization that includes manufacturing-style processing operations,retail stores, food pantry services, pharmacy services, andadministrative/program departments, applying consistent HR practiceswhile adapting to the unique needs of each environment. This positionrequires strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to balancecompassion with accountability in a mission-driven nonprofit setting.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the organization'sprimary point of contact for employee relation matters Lead andindependently manage workplace investigations, including concernsrelated to conduct, performance, policy violations, retaliation, andworkplace conflict Ensure investigations are timely, fair,well-documented, and legally compliant Advise managers on correctiveaction, documentation, performance management, and progressivediscipline Escalate high risk or sensitive matters and provide formalrecommendations to the Sr. HR Director Prepare documentation, summaries,and recommendations for senior-level review Maintain confidentiality,sound judgement, and professionalism in all employee relation mattersIndependently administer FMLA, WFMLA, ADA accommodations, and otherstatutory or organizational leaves Manage ADA interactive process andassess medical documentation an accommodation feasibility Track leaveusage and ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizationalrequirements Interpret and apply federal and Wisconsin employment lawsto complex employee situations Provide guidance to managers andemployees regarding leave rights, responsibilities, and processesIdentify leave-related risks and recommend corrective or preventiveactions Manage day-to-day HR operational decisions within approvedpolicy and authority Support implementation, interpretation, andenforcement of HR policies and procedures Ensure consistent applicationof policies across departments and locations Assist with organizationalrisk mitigation related to attendance, performance, and compliancePartner with payroll and leadership to ensure accurate HR-relatedcommunication and documentation Act as the Senior HR Director'sdesignee on assigned HR matters Collaborate closely with the Sr. HRDirector to ensure alignment, consistency, and continuity of HRpractices Serve as a...
