Provides direct supervision for the SSFC FundingAdvisor/GSSF Program Manager, General Student Services Fund Advisor,Leadership and Advocacy Program Manager, and the ASM Advisor. Inaddition, provides indirect advising support to the Financial Specialistpositions within the department. This role serves on the Student AffairsCouncil, Student Affairs Leadership Group, and the Student AdvocacyLeadership Teams within Student Affairs. The director serves as anadvisor to the Student Activity Center Governing Board (SACGB) Chair andsupports SACGB, serves on the Student Transportation Board, and is anadvisor to the Contracted Student Services Board. The AssociatedStudents of Madison (ASM) is the shared governance body representing theover 50,000 students at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Thisposition requires a strong commitment to student-led governance, anunderstanding of navigating large complex organizations, a dedication tosupporting staff professional development, expertise in facilitating andcoordinating training sessions, experience working with a diversestudent and staff team, and a commitment to continually engage in bestpractices to support student and staff success.
