FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: 2nd Shift Details:Monday to Friday, 1300 - 2130 Job Summary: The Anesthesia Technicianassists with direct patient care activities, supporting the AnesthesiaProviders during delivery of anesthesia. Working in theoperating/procedural room providing support to the anesthesiologistduring patient intubation. Also accountable for performing bloodanalysis, ensures anesthesia equipment is set-up and functioningproperly. Assists with basic patient care procedures per the directionof the anesthesiologist/CRNA/CAA. EXPERIENCE: A minimum of 2 year directpatient related care experience is required or completion of 2 years asan Anesthesia aide along with 1 year of Anesthesia tech progressiontraining. Or is functioning as anesthesia tech at another institution,graduated from an anesthesia tech program, holds certification asanesthesia tech. EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent isrequired. Associate degree from an accredited allied health field ispreferred. LICENSURE: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic LifeSupport for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalentis required within 90 days of hire. SPECIAL SKILLS: Ability todemonstrate initiative and use complex thought processes in decisionmaking. Ability to effectively utilize verbal and written communication.Flexibility to adapt to urgent situations and change. Ability to copewith pressure. Ability to work effectively and harmoniously with variouspersonnel. Ability to organize, prioritize tasks.
