Our patient populationsinclude chronic disease management (CHF, COPD, ESRD, DM), sepsis,infectious workups, Hepatology and Gastrointestinal evaluations, SickleCell, CIWA/COWS, psych, evaluation for subacute rehab and skillednursing facilities and much more. Nursing skills are Med/Surg focused:Foley insertions, trach cares/suctioning, gastric tubes (NG, NJ, PEGs),wound cares/vacs, IV/central line medications, PCA pumps, patienteducation, and promoting the highest function of activities of dailyliving. 4NE specializes in Cystic Fibrosis (CF). The Froedtert & MCWAdult Cystic Fibrosis Program is accredited by the Cystic FibrosisFoundation. When patients are admitted with CF, 4NE Internal Medicine isthe unit where they receive care. As the largest Internal Medicine Unit,team dynamics and trusting relationships are crucial to the success ofour unit.
