Yourresponsibilities Position Overview: thyssenkrupp Polysius North America,Inc. is currently seeking a first shift setup welder in our Milwaukee,WI location. The overall objective of this position is to fit and weldtogether fabricated components from flat plate and structural shapesinto machinery frames, planetary coolers, round shells, andmiscellaneous other fabrications. Materials include mild and stainlesssteel up to 5 inches thick. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Setupcomponents by layout, fitting, welding, and cleaning to create finishedweldments. This includes reading and interpretation of engineeringdrawings, tolerances, and welding symbols. Flux core and submerged arcwelding. Performing self-inspection of your work. Using overhead and/orjib/pedestal cranes, forklifts, man-lifts, pneumatic tools, hydraulictools, hand tools and torches as required. Perform all duties in a safemanner utilizing all required PPE being constantly aware of others inthe work area. Interface effectively with coworkers in a manufacturingenvironment. Must be willing and able to work overtime as needed to meetcustomer commitments. Demonstrate a commitment to safety.
