Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: + Technical skills related to processing, staining, and cover-slipping, including the handling and microscopic evaluation of gynecologic thin layer, irreplaceable fine needle aspirations, and fluid specimens + Ability to assist Pathologist, Radiologist, or Endoscopist in the slide preparation and collection of samples for ancillary testing during fine needle aspirate procedures, and perform RAPID on-site evaluation of adequacy + Knowledge of all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards, rules, and guidelines such as State, and related agencies, as well as adherence to Corporate Compliance Plans + Ability to read text and numbers, and effectively communicate verbally and in written form in English with patients, staff, and customers of varied backgrounds in a respectful, effective, and professional manner + Ability to comprehend, measure, reason, match, and problem solve Education: + Bachelor's [Required] + Master's [Preferred] Field of Study: + Successful completion of a CAAHEP accredited cytology or cytotechnology program OR certified by a certification agency approved by HHS OR qualified and served as a cytotechnologist in a CLIA-certified laboratory as of December 28, 2024, and have done so continuously since December, 28, 2024.
