Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin's vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.This role supports the Avionics Systems Engineering of New Glenn, a reusable single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. The ideal candidate has a strong systems mindset and enjoys solving complex problems, working across teams, and learning new domains. A deep passion for Blue Origin's mission is essential.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Create, implement, and facilitate New Glenn Avionics Engineering Change Requests and Change Notices in Windchill and other product lifecycle management tools (e.g. DOORS/DNG).Support New Glenn Avionics architecture trade studies, concept development, verification/validation planning, vehicle integration, and operations support.Contribute to design/customer reviews and ensure technical artifacts meet quality and compliance standards.Produce technical writing (specifications, interfaces, analysis support, and design description documents).Ensure requirements standards are met at the New Glenn Avionics subsystem level and maintain linkage/traceability to lower-level component specifications and design documents.Minimum Qualifications:B.S. in Electrical, Aerospace, or related technical subject area5+ years relevant experience in the full life cycle development of avionics systems, including requirements, design, integration, test, and operationsHighly knowledgeable of systems engineering practices, integration processes, and mission/safety critical systemsAn understanding of requirements definition, decomposition, interface definition, hardware specifications, interface control, analyses, and verificationExperience with DOORS/DNG and WindchillAbility to work collaboratively in a fast paced, dynamic work environment across disciplinesExcellent attention to detail and strong task ownership, someone who demonstrates pride in all workExcellent verbal, written, and graphical communication skillsDesired Qualifications:Knowledge of several of the following avionics specialties: Instrumentation, RF, Ethernet networking, circuit design, safety critical software, wire harnesses, test equipment, environmental/DO-160 testingDemonstrated proficiency communicating and integrating across multiple engineering disciplines to produce a unified coherent product as a teamFamiliarity with tools such as JIRA and ConfluenceCompensation Range for:CO applicants is $110,938.00 - $155,312.85WA applicants is $121,023.00 - $169,432.20Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requiremen
