Job Title: Staff PharmacistJob Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Pharmacist to join our team in a non-retail pharmacy setting. This role focuses on ensuring clinical accuracy and compliance with pharmacy laws and regulations, with an emphasis on maintaining high standards in medication preparation and dispensing. Responsibilities + Review and verify medication orders for clinical appropriateness, including drug selection, dosage, route, timing, and potential interactions. + Ensure medications are accurately prepared, verified, labeled, and dispensed in accordance with state and federal regulations. + Communicate with nursing staff and prescribers to resolve medication-related questions, clarifications, or therapy recommendations. + Supervise pharmacy technicians and support staff during assigned shifts. + Identify, investigate, and resolve medication-related issues or discrepancies. + Maintain accurate and complete patient medication profiles and documentation. + Ensure compliance with applicable pharmacy laws, regulations, and internal policies. + Support workflow efficiency during high-volume evening operations. Essential Skills + Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree. + Active Pharmacist license in the state of Ohio. + Strong clinical judgment with excellent attention to detail. + Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Strong communication and collaboration skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in Long-Term Care, hospital, institutional, or high-volume pharmacy settings preferred. + Comfortable working evening shifts and rotating weekends. Work Environment The work environment is a consistent 2nd shift, from 6:00 PM to 2:30 AM, Monday through Friday, with every other weekend rotation. This non-retail pharmacy setting is non-hazardous and focuses on clinical accuracy rather than direct patient interaction. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $128000.00 - $135200.00/yr. PTO, 2.31hrs/wk, 3 weeks total in the year. Health, Dental, Vision, 401k, 1%-0.25% match, 2%-0.50% match, 3%-0.75% match, 4%-1.00% match. Cap at 1.00%. Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Columbus,OH.
