Northrop Grumman Space Systemsu2014Missile Defense Integration offers an excellent opportunity for a Computer Operations Analyst u2013 Global COSA (26-063 & 26-064) to join our team of talented and diverse professionals. Based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO, this role is essential to supporting the U.S. President, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at the strategic, regional, and operational levels. This position does not provide relocation assistance and requires on-site work with no remote options. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a key component of the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the secretary of defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations, monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations globally and regionally to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems. The selected candidate will join a team responsible for daily system monitoring and operations, as well as for maintaining the C2BMC-G systems in a 24/7 environment dedicated to space domain awareness and space defense. They will offer first-level technical support to the customer and conduct initial troubleshooting of all local C2BMC-G hardware, software, and networks. Essential Functions: u00b7 Will document and report all events/issues to leadership u00b7 Will receive tasking and direction from leadership for all operations, tests, and real-world events u00b7 The candidate will also help with maintaining user accounts as instructed by the local ISSO u00b7 Manages and maintains the C2BMC-G mission and training systems environment for both operational and training missions, supporting C2BMC's role within the Missile Defense Integration & Operations Center (MDIOC) u00b7 Experience in diagnosing and resolving hardware and software issues u00b7 Skilled in managing data flow and troubleshooting network connectivity issues with both internal teams and external agencies u00b7 Work is closely overseen following established policies and procedures or under very general supervision u00b7 Contacts are mainly with the immediate supervisor and colleagues within the company or group, but can also include external contacts u00b7 Performs additional duties and assignments as needed Basic Qualifications: Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable. + A Bacheloru2019s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field from an accredited university, along with 2 years of experience; or a Masteru2019s degree in a related field with 0 years of relevant work experience; or 6 years of relevant work experience may be considered as an alternative to a degree + Applicants must have a current, active DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (such as Security+ CE, SecurityX, CCNA-Security, CySA+ , GICSP, GSEC, SSCP, CASP+ CE, CISSP) at the time of application, which is required to start. The candidate is responsible for maintaining their DoD 8140 certification throughout the entire contract period u00b7 Applicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with eligibility to be read in at SCI u00b7 The position requires rotating 24/7 shifts. The candidate will be assigned to a specific shift and to either Ops or Training, depending on mission needs. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
