Job Description

To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to carry out all essential functions satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities. Responsibilities include maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of all consumers in compliance with HIPAA and medical records policies; managing paper and electronic medical records for new, current, and terminated consumers; prepping, scanning, and indexing records daily and archiving back files per agency guidelines; assisting with authorizations for release of information; responding to medical records inquiries; processing daily mail related to records; reviewing and responding to records requests within required timeframes while documenting disclosures and submitting monthly reports; providing staff training on record requests and scanning procedures; conducting weekly record reviews; maintaining contact files and record storage; assisting with records destruction; managing physician script pad inventory; entering data for monthly customer satisfaction surveys; and performing other assigned duties. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED (experience preferred), a valid drivers license with reliable transportation.
