Position Summary/ Department Summary: Nurse Practitioner, Inpatient Pain Team Key Responsibilities: Providing care to infants, children, adolescents, young adults with pain from acute and chronic illnesses or those weaning sedatives after a recent critical illness in the inpatient setting. Collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to conduct patient assessments, medical histories, physical exams and develop a plan of care based on the source of pain and patient needs. Facilitating collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary team and other consulting services to provide comprehensive care for optimal patient outcomes. Participating in quality and safety initiatives and research. Providing consultation and education to staff members, patients and families as needed on pertinent topics 36 hours per week, less than 50% day/night rotation, 12-hour shifts, with every 4th weekend Minimum Qualifications Education: A Master’s Degree in Nursing Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in a pediatric setting, ideally with a pediatric intensive care background Excellent critical thinking and communication skills are required Licensure/ Certifications: A current MA NP license BLS and PALS certification This role offers a competitive sign‑on bonus ranging from $5,000 to $20,000, based on your experience. bchAPP
