Job Title: Facilities Technician Job Description As a Facilities Technician, you will be responsible for performing ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on various facility systems, including mechanical, electrical, and other installed equipment. You will maintain, operate, and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment, electrical distribution systems, plumbing systems, and perform building interior/exterior repairs as needed. Additionally, you will conduct facility inspections and report on conditions impacting client occupancy and operations, as well as respond effectively to all emergencies. Responsibilities + Perform preventive maintenance and repair work on facility mechanical, electrical, and other installed systems. + Maintain and repair HVAC systems and associated equipment. + Operate and repair electrical distribution and plumbing systems. + Conduct interior and exterior building repairs and ground maintenance. + Perform facility inspections and due diligence efforts. + Respond effectively to all emergencies. + Prepare and submit summary reports to management on work conditions and recommendations. Essential Skills + 2 years of experience in HVAC repair and troubleshooting. + Proficiency in building and facilities maintenance, including plumbing and boiler systems. + Knowledge of overall MEP/HVAC system design and application. + Experience managing work orders using CMMS technology. Additional Skills & Qualifications + EPA Universal Certification. + Experience in a service-related role specific to commercial facilities. Why Work Here? Work Environment The role offers the opportunity to work across 20 different sites, which may include office spaces, warehouses, barns, and garages. The standard shift is Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with the potential for some on-call work. Employees will drive the company van from their home to work order sites, with compensated drive time. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
