Job#: 3022011Job Description:Job Title: Data Engineer IILocation: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)Pay: $60-$65Length: 9 monthsu00a0Job DescriptionData Engineer / Business AnalystPosition OverviewThe Data Engineer / Business Analyst is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that enable the organization to manage, secure, and derive value from its data assets. This role develops scalable, reusable data solutions for collecting, storing, processing, and delivering data across both traditional and large-scale (Big Data) environments. Solutions may span on-premises and cloud platforms and include work across ETL, business intelligence, analytics, data warehousing, data lakes, search, messaging, and machine learning.The individual in this role is accountable for adhering to organizational policies, managing risk appropriately, and supporting a positive customer and colleague experience. Operating within the Bank's risk appetite, the Data Engineer / Business Analyst consistently identifies, assesses, manages, and reports risks of all types.Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Work independently to engage with business partners, gather requirements, and translate them into clear, actionable functional designs.- Collaborate with technical team members to communicate business requirements and support the development of appropriate technical solutions.- Develop clear and complete test acceptance criteria; perform unit testing and user acceptance testing to validate solution accuracy.- Create and execute SQL scripts to support ETL processes and data validation.- Conduct research and development on emerging technologies, industry trends, data engineering practices, and data security topics relevant to the banking sector.- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, self-service build tools, and automated deployment processes.- Evaluate software products and provide documented recommendations.- Provide support and troubleshooting for data platforms, including participation in escalated on-call support for complex or critical incidents.- Contribute to internal initiatives such as legacy system replacement, monitoring and analytics enhancements, tool development, and technical documentation.- Offer guidance and mentorship to team members.- Manage and prioritize multiple assignments effectively.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneRequired Skills- Power BI- Strong analytical capabilities- SQL (3--5 years of experience)- Excellent communication skills- Ability to lead and facilitate meetings- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsPreferred Skills / Experience- DataStageMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to management, business stakeholders, and technical teams.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving data-related issues and designing new solutions.Technical proficiency in SQL (3--5 years), DataStage (ETL), DBT, Snowflake, and Python.Conceptual understanding of one or more of the following:- Big data technologies and distributions- Metadata management tools- Commercial ETL platforms- Data visualization and reporting tools- Data warehousing- Data testing- Major cloud platforms- REST API design and developmentExperience with SDLC methodologies and the ability to s
