What are your contributions to the team? u2022 Apply communications and network concepts to support the design and integration of aircraft cabin and communication network systems. u2022 Perform and support communications and network testing activities. u2022 Conduct systems installation design, performance evaluation, and troubleshooting. u2022 Define high level and detailed network architectures, including interfaces, protocols, and topology. u2022 Collaborate with cross functional teams across electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering disciplines. u2022 Support change management through research, concepts, design reviews, trade studies, impact analysis, and implementation. u2022 Show compliance to 14CFR Part 25, Transport Canada, and EASA aircraft requirements. u2022 Research specifications for components selections. u2022 Work with suppliers and internal customers to assist with production and/or flight test personnel, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolution of build and test issues. u2022 Review installation drawings, qualification test data and reports. u2022 With guidance, create system schematics, requirements documents, system descriptions, interface documents, wiring diagrams, certification plans, functional test requirements, test plans, test reports, and design compliance reports for new and/or upgraded aircraft systems. How to thrive in this role? u2022 You hold a Bachelor of Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent. u2022 Experience in electrical/avionics system design or related field is preferred. u2022 Knowledge of communications and network concepts and principles. u2022 Experience using communications and network test tools and methods. u2022 Ability to define network architectures, interfaces, protocols, and topology. u2022 You have a minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical/avionics system design or related field. u2022 Advanced understanding of communications and network engineering concepts is a plus. u2022 A working knowledge of applicable regulatory certification rules (FAA, EASA, TCCA) is a plus. u2022 A working knowledge of Cybersecurity and System Safety aspects of certification is a plus. u2022 You are proficient with MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access). u2022 A working knowledge of electrical, avionics, and wire harness design guidelines for CFR Part 25 aircraft is preferred. u2022 You must be a self-starter, able to decompose moderately complex projects into individual tasks and processes. u2022 You must exhibit excellent written and interpersonal communication skills. u2022 You should be an organized individual, able to work effectively with a variety of cross-functional individuals, departments and organizations with a general good attitude and disposition.
