CNC Machinist

Job Title: CNC Machinist Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on the 2nd shift during weekends. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of blueprints and CNC machines, with hands-on experience working with Mazak machines. Responsibilities + Study blueprints, sketches, and sequence of operations to understand setup requirements. + Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines. + Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut. + Input or edit computerized machine control media according to established guidelines. + Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining, and adjust controls as required. + Verify conformance of finished work-piece to specifications using measuring and inspection tools. + Set up and operate machine on trial runs to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data. + Collaborate with production personnel and programmers to resolve machining or assembly problems. Essential Skills + High School Diploma or GED. + 3+ years of recent CNC machining experience. + Proficiency with Mazak 3-5 axis machining and CNC Lathe. + Experience in Millturn operations. + Familiarity with Mazatrol SmoothX Controls. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and sketches. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with 4 and 5-axis machining preferred, but 3-axis experience is acceptable. + Fanuc control experience is beneficial. + Proficiency in using tools such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges. + Ability to maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure machinery is cleaned regularly.
