Description We are looking for an experienced interim VP/Director of Finance to join our client's team on a contract basis in Huntsville, Alabama. In this role, you will lead financial operations, ensure accurate reporting, and drive strategic financial planning. This position requires a strong command of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support organizational goals. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the development and implementation of annual budgets to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. u2022 Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. u2022 Analyze and refine budget processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. u2022 Prepare detailed financial reports to support decision-making and present insights to leadership. u2022 Conduct cash flow forecasting to maintain financial stability and support growth initiatives. u2022 Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial strategies with broader business goals. u2022 Monitor and evaluate financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and cost optimization. u2022 Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies in all financial operations. u2022 Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering careful development and growth. u2022 Support strategic initiatives through detailed financial analysis and recommendations. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in a senior financial leadership role, such as VP or Director of Finance. u2022 Expertise in annual budgeting processes and financial forecasting. u2022 Strong knowledge of month-end close procedures and financial reporting standards. u2022 Ability to analyze cash flow and provide actionable insights for improvement. u2022 Proficiency in refining and optimizing budget processes. u2022 Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders. u2022 Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset. u2022 Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degree or certification preferred.
