They will also be a member of the active medical staff of UKHealthcare. In these capacities, they will provide clinical care, mentor residents and predoctoral dental students, and participate in scholarly activities as is consistent with this job description and overall responsibilitiesResponsibilitiesu2022 Provide direct patient careu2022 Supervise oral and maxillofacial surgery residents and predoctoral dental students on rotation in oral and maxillofacial surgeryu2022 Participate in didactic instruction of dental students and residentsu2022 Serve as a member of certain standing or ad hoc committeesu2022 Pursue opportunities for professional growth that are consistent with job expectationsu2022 Participate in scholarly activitiesu2022 The faculty member is expected to generate receipts to help underwrite costs associated with their salary and benefitsSPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIESu2022 The faculty member reports directly to the Division Chief of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and serves as a faculty member of that division within the Department of Oral Health Science.u2022 The faculty member must qualify for privileges as a member of the active medical staff at the University HospitalQualifications 1.DMD/DDS from ADA accredited Dental School pletion of an oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
