POSITION:Housekeeping House Attendant - On CallSCHEDULE: DaysLOCATION: Reno, NVSALARY: $17.00HrTO APPLY:Direct Link -Page -note, employers may close jobs on the website at any time.SUMMARYThe Housekeeping House Attendant is responsible for assisting our Guest Room Attendants with delivery of items and maintaining cleanliness in our stock areas and guest corridors. In this role they will ensure the housekeeping team in the tower has all the items needed to complete assigned rooms in a timely manner. They will deliver prompt, courteous and team-minded service throughout the entire resort and adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards.Must be a minimum of 16 years of age. Previous Housekeeping experience preferred. Flexible working all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours as business needs addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of functions to be determined based upon the needs of the Hotel.Must be able to listen and respond to guest inquiries in a positive and professional manner.EDUCATIONAny combination of education, training, or experience listed that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.LANGUAGE SKILLSMust be able to communicate in English, verbal and written sufficient enough to perform job duties as well as read all labels on chemical bottles.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member: must be able to maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with guests, management, Team Membersand others. Is regularly required to sit; stand; walk and move through all areas of the hotel;speak and hear; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.They must be able to stand for 8 hours at a time.May reach with hands and arms above shoulder level; bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull. The Team Membermust consistently be able to lift and/or move/pushup to100pounds. Team member must be able to operate vacuum cleaners, dustpans and brooms. Team Member must be able to tolerate cleaning chemicals and the smell and residue of those chemicals used.Team Member must be able to work any shift, holidays and weekends.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITESinclude the following. other duties may be assigned.Providing linen and other needed items to Guest Room Attendants as requestedProvides assistance and support to assigned Guest Room Attendants by stripping rooms, removing soiled linen, trash and providing suppliesTo assist in the maintaining the cleanliness of the linen rooms and supply closets on their assigned floorsAlert management of needed items for supply closets and linen roomsPick up linen and garbage from housekeeping carts throughout the dayPerforms special projects assigned by Floor ManagersEnter work orders in our maintenance program and follow them to completionAssist in maintaining the cleanliness of all guest corridorsMaintain the cleanliness of the shared Team Member bathrooms on their assigned floorsReporting any breakages or damages to the appropriate Team MembersDeliver amenities to guest rooms
