Join us.We are currently seeking an Ultrasonic Testing Technician (QualityAssurance) for our Appleton, WI, location who will report to our QualityLeader. This is a 2nd shift position (four 10s) working Monday-Thursday,2:30 pm - 12:30 am. Training is paid. All required training and Level IIcertification testing are completed on site. Ultrasonic Testing (UT) isan impressive Quality Assurance tool used for the examination andtesting using ultrasonic frequencies of materials and components thatwill not change or destroy the parts' usefulness. Our UltrasonicTesting department plays a vital role in ensuring we are producingcomponents that meet quality, reliability and safety standards of ATIand our customers. As an Ultrasonic Technician, you will work with newstate-of-the-art testing and inspection equipment in aclimate-controlled environment and provide examination and testing ofspecialty components by using water immersion ultrasonic testing oncomponents for aerospace jet engines and other high-performanceapplications. AdditionalResponsibilities Responsible for accomplishing water immersionultrasonic setups, examination, and testing of components to determineacceptability of material and product Examines product for possibleinternal or external defects and document results accordingly Preparesmaterial in order to properly examine and applying testing methods bycleaning, identifying, setting up equipment, etc. Reads and interpretsblueprints and drawings, specifications and scan procedures in order toaccomplish ultrasonic setups, tests, and report preparation. BasicQualifications High school diploma or GED. Preferred Qualifications (inaddition to Basic Qualifications) At least 2 years' manufacturingexperience or a technical degree/certification NDT schooling or priorNDT work experience strongly preferred Military experience. SkillsEffective oral and written communication skills with the ability to workcollaboratively with cross-functional teams Mechanically inclined Strongcomputer skills; technically savvy Ability to lift 50 pounds Gives greatattention to detail High level of integrity Engaged in the role.
