Logistics Supervisor

A Brief Overview The LogisticsSupervisor will supervise the work of a team of logistics leads,coordinators and/or drivers. In this role, customer satisfaction is apriority as it is critical to the success of the business. This positionis responsible for overseeing and coordinating freight and supplylogistics, shipping routes, and delivery to maximize efficiency andensure customer satisfaction. This person will respond immediately tocustomer questions and complaints and notify them of any delays in thedelivery schedule is essential to this position. What you will doOversee daily delivery operations including dispatch routes, printmanifests, pre-call customers, load driver assignments, scheduletransfers, and coordinate outside trucks, trailers, or transportationservices as needed. Support drivers and maintain compliance byconducting fleet management activities, scheduling delivery changes,DOT-related administrative tasks, and monitoring driver files. Managedocumentation and administrative processes including scanning documents,maintaining invoice records and filing systems, posting corrections,administering all phases of time-clock management, andprinting/distributing work picks and consolidated work picks. Monitorperformance and drive improvement through tracking metrics and errors,evaluating workflows, and identifying opportunities to optimize andstreamline logistics and production processes. Deliver exceptionalcommunication and service by collaborating with sales, drivers, andcustomers on delivery issues; and provide excellent customer service.Print and distribute work picks and consolidated work picks. Responsiblefor supervising a team of 10+ associates (direct and indirect reports),with responsibility for budgeting, goal setting, and performancemanagement, including providing feedback and input on hiring andterminations.
