JOB REQUIREMENTS: Fincantieri ACE Marine, a Fincantieri Marine Groupcompany, currently has an opportunity for a Fabricator I at the GreenBay, Wisconsin location. Fincantieri ACE Marine is a state-of-the-art,climate-controlled aluminum construction facility. Purposely designedfor assembly-line manufacturing of aluminum vessels, the facility usesinnovative modular construction techniques and component manufacturing.Efficiencies in production are achieved by allowing modules to bepre-outfitted to a very high degree while internal compartments arestill very accessible. Benefits: Fincantieri ACE Marine offers 4, 10hour shifts, no weekends, 3 weeks paid vacation, plus competitivemedical, dental and vision insurance, and more Position Summary: Thealuminum fabricator shall assemble (fit) small aluminum components/partsand completely weld out. A fabricator shall complete setup of weldingequipment, IAW approved procedures and preparation of parts inaccordance with cleanliness standards, specifications and standard workinstructions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze engineeringdrawings to plan layout/assembly sequence of small weldments. Determinerequired equipment and welding method, applying knowledge of metallurgy,geometry, welding techniques and standard procedures/processes providedby the company. Lay out, position, and secure parts according tospecifications/drawings using straight edge, combination square,calipers and ruler. Cut aluminum plate/shapes using powered saws andhand shears. Weld or tack aluminum parts together using spot welding gunor FCAW equipment. Weld components in flat and vertical positions. Climbladders or work on scaffolds to assemble components. Signal craneoperator to move large work pieces. Dismantle aluminum assemblies orcuts scrap metal, using saws, routers or plasma-arc equipment. Positionand secure parts using hoist, crane, wire and banding machine, or handtools. Inspect grooves, angles, or gap allowances using micrometer,caliper and precision measuring instruments. Remove rough spots fromwork piece using portable sander, hand file or scraper. Developtemplates and other work aids to hold and align parts.
