Job Description

The Metrology Quality/Geometry Engineer will lead dimensional project improvements on the vehicle, through part, tooling, or design actions. This position works with metrology center, plant, and validation team members to analyze complex parts and sub-assemblies (sheet metal, exterior and interior). This position also works with complex tooling and assembly fixtures using various measurement systems such as Meisterbach, Quality Assurance Fixtures, Laser Trackers, CMMs and In-Line Vision Stations. The person in this position is responsible for the supervision of skilled trades (layout personnel) and coaches team members through the collection, analysis, and organization of data from multiple sources to ensure data integrity to identify top issues and potential root causes. This position will work with production personnel, plant quality engineers and supplier quality to recommend and validate proposed solutions including verifying effectiveness of corrective actions implemented through data analysis.
