Description: Join us at Lockheed Martin as an Electro-Mechanical Engineer where you will be responsible for the D5 Life Extension II program for avionics harness designs. Location: This position does not support teleworking ;the selected candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility in: Littleton or Englewood CO and be expected to work a flexible 9x80 schedule in the office full-time. - - - Key activities you will accomplish in this role: u2022 Provide producible designs that meet technical, cost, and schedule requirements, and work within an Integrated Product Team environment. u2022 Prepare all applicable drawings and documentation needed for the fabrication and assembly of the hardware designed. u2022 Coordinate with thermal, dynamic, stress, reliability, EMC, and survivability analyses to assure compliant designs. You will support manufacturing and test disciplines in minimizing cycle time and resolving problems. u2022 Establish specifications for contract assemblers and raw-material vendors. u2022 Interface with Parts Engineering, Quality Assurance and Purchasing regarding material quality and vendor performance. - - - To be effective in this role, you will need: u2022 Experience with wire harness and interconnects design for avionics or high reliability applications. u2022 3+ years professional experience. u2022 While no clearance is needed to start in this position, you will need to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance , thus US Citizenship is required. - - - Why Lockheed Martin? Letu2019s do Space Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. u2022 Experience in electro-mechanical engineering including wire harness/cable design. u2022 Knowledge of cable manufacturing processes (connectors, crimping, soldering, forming, testing). u2022 Willing and able to obtain and maintain to obtain a Secret clearance , thus a US Citizen . Desired Skills: u2022 Full working knowledge and experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). u2022 Exposure to DFx Principles (Design for Affordability, Design for Manufacturability, etc.). u2022 Experience with 3D printing/prototyping. u2022 Experience with CREO CAD modeling and Zuken u2022 Missile/Aerospace related experience. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint). u2022 Ability to communicate issues and additional resource needs to leadership. u2022 Experience with subcontracted hardware suppliers. u2022 Experience performing tolerance stack-ups. u2022 Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and with adjacent disciplines. u2022 Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills with technical and non-technical audiences including design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, etc.). u2022 Hands-on hardware experience. u2022 Active security clearance. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
