Special Education Teacher u2013 Mild/Moderate - San Jose, CA Location: San Jose, CA Schedule: Full-Time, 40 hours/week Start Date: ASAP through End of Assignment Pay Rate: $70 per hour Travel Rates: Available for qualified candidates Position Overview Amergis is seeking a dedicated Mild/Moderate Special Education Teacher to provide services at a flagship site located in San Jose, CA. This is a full-time position running through the end of the academic year. The role operates within an inclusion-based service model, offering both in-class support and pull-out instruction as needed. The current caseload is approximately 20 individuals, with a Amergisum caseload of 28. Key Responsibilities + Deliver specialized instruction for Mild/Moderate populations based on individual needs and goals. + Provide support within general education settings as part of an inclusion service model. + Conduct targeted small-group or pull-out instructional sessions as appropriate. + Collaborate with onsite staff, service providers, and program administrators. + Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring. + Participate in planning meetings and contribute to service discussions when required. Qualifications + Valid California Education Specialist Credential u2013 Mild/Moderate (or Mild/Mod Support Needs). + Experience providing services in an inclusion environment preferred. + Strong instructional, communication, and organizational skills. + Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required. + Ability to start immediately.
