Job Description We are looking for an embedded software engineer to join the Twinsburg conversion team, where the candidate will be working with other lead engineers on the entire development life cycle for embedded software. The software has a key role in ensuring that aircraft electric power systems remain safe and reliable. In this role, the software engineer uses their knowledge of the embedded environment, the aircraft application, design assurance processes and aerospace industry trends to build reliability into each product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities u2022u2003Complete development lifecycle of the embedded software. u2022u2003Requirements authoring, reviewing and tracing. u2022u2003Software authoring and reviewing. u2022u2003Debugging software in an embedded environment. u2022u2003Root cause investigation for problem reports. u2022u2003Using development tools for analyzing software performance (stack/memory usage, timing margins, structural coverage of verification, etc.) u2022u2003Creating test strategies for software requirements. u2022u2003Support of investigation for software verification failures. u2022u2003Support of audits by customers and government authorities. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u2022u20033+ years of combined experience in embedded software development. u2022u2003Development with design assurance guidance, such as DO-178 or IEC 61508. u2022u2003Familiarity with C language development. u2022u2003Experience working with version control tools and concepts. u2022u2003Experience with lifecycle management tools, including requirements, tracing, validation and verification, and problem reporting. u2022u2003Proficient written and spoken communication, including explanations of detailed technical concepts. u2022u2003Experience debugging embedded systems with simulations or within the target. u2022u2003Proficient in Microsoft Office. u2022u2003Able to sustain software development for projects ranging over several years. u2022u2003A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in electrical, computer, software engineering or computer science. u2022u2003Detailed understanding of a variety of microcontroller architectures and operational principles. u2022u2003Familiarity with MISRA C standards. u2022u2003Understanding of principles of power electronics. u2022u2003Able to prepare presentations and lead audits. u2022u2003Capable of reading schematics. u2022u2003Able to work on the development of electrical power systems for military aircraft used internationally. u2022u2003U.S. Person status
