Job Description This position spans project execution, process scale-up, and on-site facility support, with responsibilities ranging from pilot-scale build-outs to development of a Full-Scope Integrated Complex via a traditional EPC execution model. Reports to the Director of Engineering and collaborates closely across process development, manufacturing, and R&D teams. Project execution The project management responsibilities of this role span multiple project scales and complexities: Pilot: ou2003Support engineering, R&D, and operations teams in building out new pilot operations at the Batavia facility. ou2003Develop intimate understanding of unit operations ou2003Manage in-house projects with support from local contractors and OEMs. ou2003Improve schedule and cost compliance while maintaining a pragmatic, u201cbuild-firstu201d execution approach. ou2003Serve as an individual contributor where needed, filling gaps in: uf0a7u2003Fixed and rotating equipment design uf0a7u2003Layout and plot planning uf0a7u2003Structural support uf0a7u2003Mechanical and piping interconnections Full-Scope Integrated Complex: ou2003Lead project development of a commercial-scale facility through a traditional EPC-driven approach. ou2003Work in close partnership with process engineering during FEED to deliver a financeable project. ou2003Own or strongly influence: uf0a7u2003Construction planning uf0a7u2003Project controls (cost, schedule, construction risk) uf0a7u2003EPC, licensor, and consultant coordination uf0a7u2003Cross-discipline and OSBL/ISBL interfaces We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u2022u2003B.S. in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, or related field with 7+ years relevant experience. u2022u2003Direct project management of complex project(s) encompassing multiple unit operations and OSBL scope, ideally spanning from FEL1 through commissioning. u2022u20034+ years experience in on-site, client side, project engineering support is preferred u2022u2003Experience working with external SMEs across engineering disciplines, as well as OEMs, Mechanical Shops, Fabricators, and others to retrofit existing PVs and piping systems. u2022u2003Knowledge and experience with relevant codes (ASME VIII, NFPA, etc) is preferred. u2022u2003Working knowledge of industrial controls systems and instrumentation. u2022u2003Comfort or interest in working with limited support on a blank canvas as well as taking projects from conception to operation.
