A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a Laboratory Coordinator to support R&D teams through equipment management and operational coordination. The ideal candidate will serve as a central resource for equipment lifecycle support, vendor interactions, and dayu2011tou2011day lab workflow needs. ufeffJob Description The Laboratory Coordinator will develop and administer various laboratory equipment support functions across multiple sites. This role serves as a liaison among internal personnel and external organizations to facilitate equipment selection, purchasing, onboarding, calibration/service/repair, and decommissioning. The position ensures consideration for laboratory needs, as well as the quality and cost-effectiveness of service providers. Responsibilities + Interface with vendors, OEM, and internal service organizations to address laboratory equipment service needs. + Assist R&D personnel with the selection and purchase of laboratory equipment and services. + Provide administrative support throughout the equipment lifecycle, including onboarding, maintenance/repair, and decommissioning. + Serve as a liaison to on-site vendor service personnel. + Receive incoming work requests and generate work orders on demand. + Process work orders and contracts within IBM systems to ensure proper documentation of equipment status, service activities, and ownership costs. + Maintain equipment warranty and service contract data within the person system and Access database. + Process service contract renewals by reviewing equipment reliability histories, determining insourcing potential, and assessing cost benefits. + Collaborate with department leadership to develop and refine processes supporting department functions. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of North Chicago, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $28.00/hr.
