Description Position Overview: The Engineering Technologist will play a crucial role in our test lab, focusing on electrical engineering tasks, troubleshooting, and programming. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for candidates holding a 4-year degree in Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering. Key Responsibilities: u2022 Conduct EMI testing and operate test equipment such as oscilloscopes and similar devices. u2022 Perform functional testing and use soldering irons to troubleshoot circuits. u2022 Read and interpret circuit boards and schematics. u2022 Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement testing protocols. u2022 Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accurate results. u2022 Document test procedures and results, providing detailed reports to the engineering team. u2022 The technician will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining test systems using LabVIEW u2022 Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test system and equipment. u2022 Documenting engineered systems for clients and engineers Qualifications: u2022 Minimum of 5 years of experience in a test lab environment. u2022 Associate degree with relevant experience or a 4-year degree in Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering preferred. u2022 Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles. u2022 Strong understanding of test equipment and methodologies u2022 Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics. u2022 Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming with LabVIEW. u2022 Experience with EMI testing and operating test equipment like oscilloscopes, Multimeters, Function Generators, Signal generators, data generators, etc. u2022 Ability to use soldering irons and troubleshoot circuits effectively. u2022 Functional testing experience is highly valuable. u2022 Ability to read and interpret circuit boards and schematics. Skills: u2022 Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication and teamwork abilities. u2022 Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. u2022 Proactive and innovative approach to testing and troubleshooting. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Murphy, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $41.00/hr.
