Accounts Payable Associate

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Associate to join our team in Bethesda, Maryland. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong understanding of accounts payable processes. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing invoice processing, coding, and ensuring timely payments to vendors. Responsibilities: u2022 Review and verify invoices for accuracy and proper documentation. u2022 Accurately code invoices according to company guidelines. u2022 Process invoices and ensure timely payment to vendors. u2022 Handle check runs and ensure payments align with deadlines. u2022 Maintain detailed records of accounts payable transactions. u2022 Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or inquiries. u2022 Assist in month-end closing activities related to accounts payable. u2022 Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations. u2022 Collaborate with team members to streamline accounts payable processes. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar role. u2022 Proficiency in invoice coding and processing. u2022 Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. u2022 Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. u2022 Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. u2022 Familiarity with accounting software and tools. u2022 Knowledge of financial regulations and compliance standards. u2022 High school diploma or equivalent; additional accounting certifications are a plus.
