Description We are looking for an experienced part-time Bookkeeper to join our team in Lexington-Fayette, Kentucky. This is a long-term contract, part-time position offering an opportunity to manage key financial operations within a nonprofit organization. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in bookkeeping and financial oversight, particularly in managing tuition receivables. Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee all bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. u2022 Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including timely payments and collections. u2022 Perform regular bank reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks to organize and track financial data efficiently. u2022 Handle tuition receivables, ensuring proper documentation and collection procedures. u2022 Prepare financial reports and statements to support organizational decision-making. u2022 Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and systems. u2022 Maintain detailed and organized financial records for audits and reviews. u2022 Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and practices. u2022 Address any discrepancies or issues in financial records promptly. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in bookkeeping, preferably within a nonprofit setting. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software. u2022 Strong knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. u2022 Ability to perform accurate bank reconciliations regularly. u2022 Familiarity with tuition receivables management is a plus. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Strong communication and collaboration abilities. u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
