Launch your career with us In-Office: This is a 100% in-office role based at one of our U.S. office locations (Meridian, ID or Rochester, NY or Schaumburg, IL). Remote or hybrid work is not available for this position. Candidates must be able to work on-site five days per week during designated work hours. Position Overview The Garnishment Services Specialist Level I (GSS I) is responsible for providing excellent support for all Paylocityu2019s clients that subscribe to this service (except emerging markets). Their primary duties include reading & interpreting court orders (except creditors), setting up the garnishment with correct calculation codes in HR&P Wage Attachment Wizard, scheduling welcome client calls, be able to enter multiple child supports (including prorations). The ideal candidate demonstrates an interest in the Garnishment field and has a desire for continuous learning and improvement. Primary Responsibilities The below represents the primary duties of the position, others may be assigned as needed. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. u2022 Maintain garnishment rules in system to determine proper withholding from employee wages according to state rules and garnishment type. u2022 Maintain employee garnishment data with applicable start and stop dates for each order promptly according to information contained within order and applicable deadlines. Processes ordered wage garnishments: child support, student loans, wage assignments, bankruptcy orders, state and federal tax levies. u2022 Process E-file documents to courts (as applicable) u2022 Responds in a timely manner to clientu2019s garnishment inquiries. u2022 Partner with Account Managers to provide resolution to client inquiries. u2022 Proactively identify issues and utilize available resources to identify appropriate solutions for clients. u2022 Provide professional & appropriate internal/ external communication as well as progress updates to all stakeholders. u2022 Manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines. u2022 Validate Garnishment Orders/ Writs are in compliance with local, state, federal laws and ebooks. u2022 Provide clients guidance on garnishment compliance best practices, organizational change management and Paylocity product fit. u2022 Ability to manage emerging markets, mid, majors clients with appropriate response time, call metrics, DOCC client service experience, provide Garnishment policy updates with Federal, state, local legislative changes. u2022 Review GMS Community page, GMS Teams Channel for resolution to client issues and best practices. u2022 Maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive employee information. u2022 Completes other duties as assigned. Education and Experience u2022 High School Diploma required. Bacheloru2019s Degree, preferred. u2022 Minimum of 1 year of experience in a client-facing role, payroll, accounting, finance, garnishment processing, and/or taxes in a customer service or shared services call center environment. u2022 Experience in a Paylocity account manager or implementation consultant role is preferred. u2022 Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. u2022 Must display sophisticated writing and interpersonal communication skills. u2022 Attention to detail. u2022 Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint u2022 Ability to manage changing priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to a changing business environment. u2022 Ability to problem solve, analyze information, work in team environment, demonstrate professionalism. u2022 Ability to understand, interpret, and apply the legal mandates and restrictions related to garnishments laws and regulations. u2022 General knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations and garnishment laws. Physical requirements u2022 Ability to sit for extended periods: The role requires sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods, typically 7-8 hours a day. u2022 Use of computer and phone systems: The employee must be able to operate a computer, use phone systems, and type. The base pay range for this position is $34,000 - $55,000; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
