Seeking an experienced Civil CAD Designer to support various land development projects local to central Ohio. Candidate must be able to communicate well with our staff as well as clients and contractors. Position requires experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D. Work includes preparation of civil engineering drawings for site development including storm water drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, storm sewers, and supporting design information. Must have education and understanding of State of Ohio and local agency design and approval requirements. The ideal candidate is an experienced CAD Technician who can work independently. Projects include municipal, urban redevelopment, education, retail, parks/ recreation, subdivision, healthcare, and more. Responsibilities + Prepare detailed civil engineering drawings for site development, including storm water drainage, sanitary sewers, waterlines, storm sewers, and supporting design information. + Develop construction drawings and CAD models using AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Assist in the design of stormwater management systems, sanitary sewer, water distribution, and roadway alignments. + Develop surface grading plans using contours and spot elevations. + Import and interpret survey data, aerial imagery, and GIS files. + Collaborate with engineers, surveyors, and other design professionals to ensure project accuracy and compliance. + Perform quantity takeoffs and assist in cost estimation. + Support permitting processes by preparing documentation and responding to agency comments. + Maintain project files and adhere to company drafting standards and QA/QC procedures. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Experience in civil design, site civil, grading, and stormwater design. + 5+ years of site civil design experience is preferred. + Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines. + Strong understanding of grading design, surface development, and pipe networks. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Civil Engineering or related degree is a plus. + EIT or PE certification is advantageous. + Experience in Survey CAD is beneficial. Work Environment The work environment includes a hybrid schedule of 4 days in the office and 1 day remote, with flexibility for special circumstances. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
