Mgr Bus Analytics and Insights - req1630 OVERVIEW The Manager of Business Analytics and Insights is responsible for delivering timely, accurate sales analytics, reporting, and operational support to executive leadership and field sales teams. This role enables data-driven decision-making, improves sales effectiveness, and optimizes territory, pipeline, and performance management across the organization. The position partners closely with Sales Leadership, BU, Finance, Marketing, and IT to ensure sales data integrity, reporting consistency, and adoption of analytics tools that support revenue growth and excellence. RESPONSIBILITIES + Executive & Sales Leadership Support - Provide real-time sales analytics and insights to leadership and field management to support company-wide decision-making. Deliver specialized reporting and analysis for quarterly forecasts, pipeline reviews, business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and sales leadership meetings. Translate complex sales data into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations. + Sales Reporting & Analytics - Lead sales reporting processes including pipeline, forecast, bookings, revenue, territory performance, and sales productivity metrics. Develop, enhance, and automate standard and ad-hoc sales reports, dashboards, and scorecards. Ensure consistent definitions, governance, and data quality across all sales performance metrics. + Territory, Coverage, Budget & Performance Analysis - Partner with sales leadership to support territory design, account coverage models, and capacity planning. Analyze sales performance by region, territory, product, and customer segment to identify gaps and opportunities. Support evaluation of sales roles, coverage effectiveness, and productivity trends. + Sales Systems & Tools Enablement - Serve as a business partner for sales-related IT systems, including CRM (e.g., Salesforce) and reporting platforms. Support deployment, optimization, and adoption of sales tools and analytics solutions. Collaborate with IT and Sales Leadership to define requirements, test enhancements, and improve system usability. + Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work closely with Finance, Marketing, and BU to align sales analytics with financial forecasts, demand planning, and go-to-market strategies. Facilitate data-driven discussions across departments to improve sales execution and operational efficiency. + Continuous Improvement & Special Projects - Identify opportunities to streamline sales reporting, improve data accuracy, and reduce manual effort. Lead or support special projects related to sales effectiveness, analytics enhancements, and process improvements. Assist IT teams in solution design, testing, training, and change management efforts. QUALIFICATIONS + Strong understanding of business processes and best practices within a business area such as BU, finance, sales, marketing, and service. + Proficient in MS Office Suite products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). + Experience with Salesforce, and familiarity with Qlik analytics and Oracle business intelligence software. + Proven ability to build and motivate a team to achieve well communicated expectations. + Strong communication, interpersonal, creative and analytical skills. Must have meticulous attention to detail. + Strong organizational and project management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects at different stages, while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality. + Work may occur on some evenings or weekends. + Ability to travel on a flexible schedule as needed. + Experience with the various styles of data analysis and business intelligence for visualization and interpretation (e.g., reporting, dashboards, advanced data discovery, OLAP, data mining, cloud). Must be able to understand technical concepts of the system environment and a deep understanding of application structures, functions, processes and platforms. + Robust experience with general system implementation skills, including requirements and process analysis, conceptual and detailed design, configuration, testing, training, change management, and system support. Demonstrated ability to lead complex business process reengineering efforts.
