General Superintendent

The expected salary range for this position is $240,000 u2013 $290,000 depending upon experience. TPZP, a Tutor Perini joint venture company, is the company selected to execute the California High Speed Rail u2013 construction package one (CP-1). TPZP is seeking a General Superintendent for the project in Fresno, CA About California High Speed Rail- CP1 _Extraordinary Projects, Exceptional Performance_ The California High-Speed Rail Authorityu2019s Construction Package 1 (CP1) is the first significant construction contract executed on the Initial Operating Section of the High-Speed Rail project in Californiau2019s Central Valley. The CP1 construction area is a 32-mile stretch between Avenue 19 in Madera County to East American Avenue in Fresno County, including major work elements in downtown Fresno. It includes 12 roadway / railroad grade separations, two mainline viaducts, one tunnel, realignments of existing railroad tracks, utility relocations, roadway relocations, two trench sections, and a major river crossing over the San Joaquin River. _Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent_ DESCRIPTION: As a General Superintendent at Tutor Perini, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to: + Supervise and direct the work of discipline Superintendents across earthworks and structures construction efforts to ensure project is constructed safely in accordance with design, budget and schedule. + Assume responsibility for planning, coordinating and supervising onsite functions (scheduling, subcontractor coordination, etc.). + Assume responsibility for compliance of craft workers and subcontractors with contract requirements, efficient use of materials & equipment, site safety plan and timely performance of the project schedule. + Provide technical assistance, i.e., interpretation of drawings, recommending construction methods and equipment, etc., as required. + Assist project management in developing, project schedule, site logistics plan and implementing project procedures, working documents, standards, etc. + Support Site Specific Safety Plan. + Coordinate with on-site Owner employees. + Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction. u200b REQUIREMENTS: + 15 or more years of construction experience + 10 or more yearsu2019 experience as a superintendent on heavy civil projects + Experience as a superintendent on projects valued over $200M + Previous Superintendent experience on bridge, highway or transit projects + Knowledge, skills and experience with U.S. construction methods, techniques, and standards. + Experience with City, State, Federal Government Clients preferred + Knowledge of contract management and familiarity with local trade/unions/craft + Experienced in MS Word/Excel, Procure, Bluebeam, HCSS Heavy bid or similar software + OSHA certification, First Aid Certs + Excellent written and verbal skills + Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required _OUR MISSION_ _We build critical infrastructure that creates a better world._ _OUR VISION_ _We strive to be the preeminent full-service civil, building, and specialty contractor by delivering innovative, transformative projects through world-class execution.
