YTP Aquatics Director - Lake Stockwell

The YTP Aquatics Director position is responsible for the daily operation of YMCA of the Pines’ waterfronts, including the general safety and supervision of swimmers.This job announcement is not intended to be inclusive of all functions, responsibilities and qualifications associated with the position, however, representative of the essential job functions and typical criteria considered necessary to successfully perform the position.Provide instruction, supervision, and safety of all campers, staff and volunteers in waterfront area.Responsible for creating lifeguard schedules for daily operating as well as after camp swim lessons.Supervise and participate in all assigned aspects of the campers’ day which includes but is not limited to: Camper check-in and check-out; and meal times. Conduct weekly in-services for all 3 camps - Lake Stockwell Day Camp, Camp Ockanickon & Camp MatollionequayAttend and participate in two weeks of Leadership Staff Training and General Staff Training. Conduct at least one written performance review with staff during the summer.Lifeguarding experience requiredMust be 21 years of age or olderHave knowledge in the safety, skill instruction and ability to understand emergency procedures in a waterfront setting Previous camp experience or experience working with groups of children and supervision of staff is preferred. Must show enthusiasm, dedication, responsibility and maturity and have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with campers, parents and staff Must possess current certifications in lifeguarding Waterfront Module and professional CPR and First Aid; Waterfront Safety Instruction preferred.
