Mechanic - Plant

Titan Virginia Ready Mix is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to work in the Sterling/ Northern VA region. This is an hourly position reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.The primary responsibility of this position is to repair and maintain machinery, both electronic and mechanical equipment, such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines, and other plant and mobile equipment related to our concrete plants and facilities.Responsibilities:Analyze required work orders and sketches to troubleshoot, repair, and install equipmentMake plant repairs and perform maintenance promptly to ensure continuous operationsPerform daily preventative maintenance inspections, repairs, and schedulingFollow all applicable safety regulations and policiesIdentify multiple projects and prioritize work to maximize plant productivityCommunicate clearly and effectively at various levels to obtain and provide the information needed to accomplish goalsPerform maintenance and repair of various types of plant equipment across various plant locationsMaximize equipment availability through the use of efficient and proactive preventive maintenance programsRequired Experience:High school diploma or equivalentMust have and maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record3-5 years of related experience and/or training in hydraulic systems, electrical, air conditioning, and pneumaticsPrevious experience doing preventative maintenance inspections and schedulingPrevious welding, fabrication, and heavy equipment operation experience Knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and repair (certification preferred)Strong mechanical skills and the ability to problem-solve Dedication to maintaining the highest standard of safety in all aspects of the jobCDL preferred or ability to obtain a CDL licenseReady-mix industry knowledge or related industry a plusMust provide own tools Working Environment:Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all timesWilling to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as requiredWorking outdoors with exposure to extreme heat, extreme cold, and other outdoor environmental conditions, constant standing and walking, climbing, working from heights, and lifting to 75 lbs.Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and overtimeAbility to pass pre-employment processes, including MVR, criminal background check, physical, and drug screen Titan America is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) / Affirmative Action employer and welcomes all qualified applicants.
