Other system services include the Central Maine Heart and Vascular Institute, a regional trauma program, LifeFlight of Maine's southern Maine base, the Central Maine Comprehensive Cancer Center and other high-quality clinical services.Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join the Bridgton Hospital Diagnostic Ultrasound team!This is a per diem, flexible schedule, position.Compensation: Your experience and dedication to providing top quality patient care is valued at Central Maine Healthcare, and that is reflected in our competitive, experienced based pay rates!The Opportunity: The Diagnostic Medical Sonographer performs patient assessments, acquires and analyzes data obtained using ultrasound, and uses independent judgment and systematic problem-solving methods to produce high quality diagnostic information and optimize patient care. Provides a summary of findings to the physician or health care provider to aid in patient diagnosis and management. Participates in CQI activities.Qualifications: Prefer two years of radiologic/imaging experience.Specific experience and training in Ultrasound and proficient knowledge of Ultrasound EquipmentARDMS Registered or ARDMS candidate.Graduate of a CAAHEP-approved school of Ultrasonography, or has received education and clinical experience and demonstrated competence to obtain appropriate ARDMS certification within a year of hire preferred.Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification required.
