GENERAL PURPOSE: The IT PM Project Manager II position is accountable for delivery of medium to high complexity projects. This position plans, initiates and manages medium to high complexity store technology projects with medium to large sized cross-functional teams. The Project Manager II establishes and maintains project governance, workplan, resource plan and budget. They monitor progress to assure deadlines, standards, and cost targets are met and maintain project documentation and traceability. The Project Manager II interfaces with members of their project team(s), Advisory Group members, Steering committee and other IT and business stakeholders as well as vendor resources and vendor leadership as required). The Project Manager II works independently to organize and structure their own work, while providing vision, direction, training and coaching to project team members including Project Analyst(s). The role is responsible for continuing professional development to ensure they are following appropriate PM practices and staying current on relevant technology, processes and tools. The base salary range for this role is $129,100 - $220,600. The base salary range is dependent on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, qualifications, relevant education, certifications, seniority, and location. The range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees. Other rewards vary by position and location. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: u2022 Lead large programs with detailed knowledge of various delivery methodologies u2022 Manages the production of project and workstream plans, ensuring that all activities are identified, are appropriately organized and resourced u2022 Plans and leads analysis and stakeholder consultation to agree on project scope and deliverables u2022 Plans and coordinates the identification of requirements, document and manage requirements throughout the project; and coordinate verification of achievement u2022 Identifies risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints associated with the project, escalating where appropriate u2022 Drafts and delivers reports and presentations that enable stakeholders to evaluate progress and agree on plan and changes u2022 Collaborates with IT Contracts and vendor on contracts management, to review statement of work, address callouts from Legal u2022 Leads vendor contracting and ongoing vendor management u2022 Leads through the Capital Funding process managing large budgets/forecasts u2022 Leads medium to large project teams communicating project vision coordinating team actions on project activities; and flow of additional team members on and off the team as needed u2022 Builds team capability through training, coaching and mentoring u2022 Executes stakeholder engagement activities to develop effective project working relationships and to ensure stakeholder needs and concerns are identified and met u2022 Identifies, acquires, and manages the resources (physical and human) for the project u2022 Manages project resourcing, including staffing costs, forecasts and variances to ensure effective resource utilization u2022 Leads direct report(s), including performance management, coaching and development and engagement activities u2022 Manages third party project teams, effectively onboarding them and allocating them on tasks u2022 At conclusion of project, provides appropriate documentation and training to enable successful transition to business u2022 Identifies and records lessons learned to inform future project activity u2022 Reviews existing operations and generates new ideas to guide continuous improvements u2022 Conducts assurance reviews within the project, facilitate the delivery of assurance reviews by independent third parties, and take appropriate action to resolve any issues identified u2022 Leads post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned u2022 Maintains external accreditations and stays current on relevant tools and best practices in project management through continuing professional development. Adept at learning technologies, tools and processes. u2022 Knowledge of PMO tools such as OnePlan, Primavera, Planview u2022 Experience with Waterfall, Agile and Hybrid project delivery methodologies Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Project Management Certification such as PMP, PBA, CSM, PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA: Job requires ability to work in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone, attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files, etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or electronically. This role requires regular in-office presence, including to engage in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
