Overview ABM is seeking a District Manager, Janitorial to lead and manage large-scale janitorial operations and facilities services across multiple client sites. This position will oversee both soft services (janitorial, sanitation, and front-of-house services) and hard services (maintenance, building systems, and infrastructure), ensuring exceptional service delivery, operational excellence, and client satisfaction. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving team performance, optimizing service outcomes, and championing safety and innovation across the portfolio. Compensation : $80,000.00 annual salary (US Dollars) The pay listed is the salary range for this position. For information about ABMu2019s benefits, visit ABM Employee Benefits Staff & Management Position Summary: Key Responsibilities _Leadership and Strategy:_ u00b7 Develop and execute a strategic plan that aligns with ABMu2019s operational goals and client expectations. u00b7 Lead, mentor, and motivate multi-disciplinary teams across janitorial, engineering, and maintenance functions. u00b7 Champion a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and safety. u00b7 Partner with HR and recruiting teams to attract and retain top talent within janitorial and technical teams. _Operational Oversight (Soft & Hard Services):_ u00b7 Direct daily janitorial operations, ensuring cleanliness, sanitation, and hygiene standards are met across all client properties. u00b7 Oversee hard services operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other core building systems. u00b7 Manage and execute facility upgrades, capital improvement projects, and special initiatives. u00b7 Ensure union compliance, resolve labor issues, and foster positive labor-management relations. u00b7 Drive cost efficiencies through vendor management, resource planning, and process improvements. _Client and Stakeholder Engagement:_ u00b7 Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring responsive communication and issue resolution. u00b7 Build and maintain strong, trusted relationships with client executives, internal departments, and key partners. u00b7 Regularly meet with clients to review KPIs, quality performance, and satisfaction metrics. _Technology and Innovation:_ u00b7 Leverage CMMS and data tools to track performance, schedule maintenance, and optimize labor and supply costs. u00b7 Promote adoption of smart building technology, green cleaning solutions, and automation where appropriate. u00b7 Remain current on emerging trends in facilities and janitorial innovation to keep ABM competitive. _Safety and Compliance:_ u00b7 Ensure strict adherence to ABMu2019s safety standards and regulatory requirements (OSHA, EPA, local codes). u00b7 Develop, communicate, and enforce emergency preparedness plans and risk mitigation procedures. u00b7 Drive a safety-first culture by providing training, enforcing policy, and recognizing safe behaviors. _Who Weu2019re Looking For:_ u00b7 Bacheloru2019s Degree preferred; High School Diploma or GED or Experience: 5+ years in a leadership role overseeing large-scale janitorial and facility operations, including direct oversight of both soft and hard FM services. u00b7 Facilities Expertise: Deep knowledge of custodial programs, sanitation standards, and technical building systems. u00b7 Leadership: Strong background managing union and non-union workforces, with experience handling performance management, coaching, and team development. u00b7 Client-Centric: Proven ability to manage client expectations, foster partnerships, and deliver service excellence. u00b7 Innovative Mindset: Able to identify opportunities for automation, sustainability, and operational efficiencies. u00b7 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. u00b7 Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. u00b7 Ability to travel frequently within the assigned district.
