Conducts and reviews tax research to stay updated on tax laws and regulations. Supervises and reviews all tax-related correspondence to maintain effective communication and documentation. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address tax issues and implement solutions. Manages and mentors tax managers, tax analysts, and senior tax analysts, assigning tasks and reviewing their work. Supervises the completion of annual tax information reporting packages at the facility level. Oversees and reviews documents and data required for the annual return preparation process at the corporate level. Assigns, prepares, and reviews correspondence, including notices from taxing authorities and results of inquiries from the field. Prepares and reviews state registrations and similar questionnaires/surveys as assigned. Manages the review and registration process with payroll. Other duties as assigned. Performs detailed reviews of prepared tax returns and all accompanying documents. Prepares and reviews documentation of tax research conclusions.
