Hiring Mechanical Assemblers $18/hr 1st shift Statesville, NC Job Responsibilities + Position parts according to knowledge of the unit being assembled or utilize a blueprint. + Assemble and fasten parts together using bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners with hand tools, power tools, or air tools. + Remove small quantities of metal to ensure close fits between parts. + Operate machines to perform force fitting or fastening operations as specified. + Maintain a clean and organized work area, performing basic housekeeping duties throughout the shift. + Be adaptable to undertake additional roles as requested by supervisors or managers beyond typical assembly duties. Essential Skills + 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in assembly. + Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools and power tools. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints. + Capable of following detailed instructions and work orders. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
