Solar Laborer

Job Title: Commercial Solar Installer Weekly Pay, Friday Local in Charlotte, NC Job Description We are seeking experienced Commercial Solar Installers with expertise in AC-side commercial electrical work for a significant rooftop solar project in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is ideal for professionals who are adept at working on active commercial rooftops and skilled in performing conduit runs, panel tie-ins, and system interconnections on 480V commercial systems. Responsibilities + Safely decommission an existing rooftop PV system, disconnecting and removing both AC and DC components while adhering to proper lockout/tagout procedures. + Remove conduit, combiner boxes, disconnects, and associated AC equipment, and secure circuits in compliance with NEC requirements and project specifications. + Install and bend commercial-grade conduit on a flat commercial rooftop, and pull and terminate conductors for 480V systems using BOY phase identification. + Complete panel tie-ins and full system interconnections, including both load-side and line-side taps as required. + Install disconnects, inverters, and AC combiner equipment, ensuring all grounding and bonding is completed in accordance with the NEC. + Read and interpret one-line diagrams and electrical drawings accurately. Essential Skills + Verifiable commercial electrical installation experience. + Hands-on experience with 480V commercial systems. + Understanding of load-side versus line-side connections. + Ability to bend and install conduit in field conditions. + Comfortable working on flat commercial rooftops and at heights. + Working knowledge of NEC compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Commercial rooftop solar experience, particularly in decommissioning and re-install projects, is preferred. + OSHA 10 and NFPA 70e certifications are a plus.
