Product Test Engineer

Description The position duties will include: u2022 Project Management u2022 Lead cross-functional teams in the design, deployment, and start-up for chassis emissions test facilities. u2022 Delivery of quality, timing, and financial objectives of a project u2022 Process driven approach, capable of managing complex installations which will require detailed design work. u2022 Test Engineering as it pertains to: u2022 Troubleshooting support for site maintenance u2022 Identifying and implementing operational quality and efficiency opportunities u2022 Support of power-train development assisting in detailed data analysis and test validation u2022 Process development / optimization for evaporative & tailpipe emissions testing u2022 Test method development u2022 Support power-train emissions development, U.S. Certification, Homologation, & VE problem resolution u2022 Support development of xHEV/EV/ICE product development / certification through the design of test procedures / facilities / equipment to efficiently and effectively develop the product. u2022 Support the development of new equipment / test methodologies required to meet new emissions and fuel economy requirements. u2022 Delivery of financial objectives of the department(s) and the team u2022 Additional assignments as necessary to deliver corporate objectives. Skills Emissions, Testing, Chassis, emissions test, troubleshooting, instrumentation, calibration, emission testing, data collection and analysis Additional Skills & Qualifications u2022 Experience writing / generating technical equipment specifications. u2022 Working knowledge of basic chemistry u2022 Experience with data analysis (Mini-Tab, etc.) u2022 Basic electronics troubleshooting experience. u2022 Working knowledge of statistics & statistical process controls Other: u2022 Required BS in mechanical or electrical Engineering. u2022 LabView programming skills desired u2022 Power-train experience preferred. u2022 Motivated/Self starter u2022 Excellent organizational skills u2022 Ability to adjust to changing requirements. u2022 Flexible work schedule u2022 MS Office Suite (Excel, Project, Word) Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Allen Park, MI.
