Thisjob is ON - SITE. $5,000 sign on bonus FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours:40.00 Shift: 4 Shift Details: Acute Care staffing will be scheduled atFroedtert Menomonee Falls Hospital. The float technician will haveexpectations for cross-coverage across oncology infusion service line.(i.e Froedtert Menomonee Falls, Froedtert West Bend, and MequonInfusion). Scheduled hours vary based on position assignment with a mixof first and second shift. Two holidays per year, Every third weekendJob Summary: This is an Acute Care Float Technician with emphasis onsupporting the oncology infusion service line. Following establishedpolicies and procedures, under the direct supervision of a pharmacist,prepares and distributes medication and performs functions essential tothe operations of the pharmacy department. Oversees training of newtechnician staff. Functions within the guidelines of the WisconsinStatutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - PharmacyPractice Sections. Other duties as assigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Aminimum of 3 years work experience in a hospital pharmacy department ispreferred. For decentralized technicians - a minimum of 3 years workexperience in an outpatient/community pharmacy is preferred. EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: High School diploma or equivalent is required. Graduate ofa Nursing Assistant or Medical Assistant program or equivalent workexperience is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: Graduate of an accreditedpharmacy technician training program is preferred. LICENSUREDESCRIPTION: Application for Wisconsin registration as a PharmacyTechnician is required by hire date and must be obtained within 12months of hire. Staff hired into this role prior to 3/31/23 must haveapplied for Wisconsin registration by 3/31/23 and have until 3/31/24 toobtain registration. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE)or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) is requiredwithin 6 months of hire.
