Bilingual Collections Representative

Position Overview As a Medical Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for managing delinquent medical accounts while providing professional, respectful service to patients. You will handle patient inquiries, process payments, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and FDCPA regulations Key Responsibilities · Handle inbound and outbound calls with patients in a professional, respectful manner · Work medical accounts to resolve balances through patient communication, insurance follow-up, and account research · Review and research account information to identify insurance coverage, third-party payors, and overall account status · Accurately document account activity, follow HIPAA, FDCPA, and company compliance standards, and maintain thorough records · Participate in ongoing training and coaching, and escalate complex or sensitive issues to leadership when appropriate Qualifications & Experience · High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) · Insurance verification experience (preferred) · Basic typing and computer skills (required) · Strong verbal and written communication skills · Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts · Proven reliability, punctuality, and professional demeanor · Ability to pass a criminal background check · Reliable transportation · Bilingual (English/Spanish or other languages) strongly preferred
