Staff Security Engineer

Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a dedicated Staff Security Engineer to join their team. As a Staff Security Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Security Department supporting various security initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, proactive problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills, which will align successfully within the organization. Job Title: Staff Security Engineer Location: Rockville, Maryland Pay Range: $71-74 What's the Job? + Apply established processes and techniques to identify, validate, and prioritize security risks. + Architect and design security control systems to address security requirements. + Operate and monitor established security controls, ensuring their effectiveness. + Review, triage, and prioritize control output, recommending actions to resolve security discrepancies. + Evaluate and recommend new security technologies, techniques, and tools to enhance security posture. What's Needed? + Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. + At least three (3) years of relevant experience in information security. + Experience in securing networks, systems architecture, and security policy development. + Knowledge of communications protocols and familiarity with various cybersecurity tools. + Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop effective working relationships.
