This role combines design system work including component design, pattern documentation, and Human Interface Guidelines with hands-on product design for enterprise workflows, B2B tools, and partner-facing experiences.Contract Duration: 6 months with potential extensionu00a0Start Date: As soon as possibleWhat You Will DoDesign Systems Work 50 to 60 percent of timeDesign Fire TV/Tablet UI components and patterns such as buttons, cards, navigation, and content browsingCreate comprehensive use case documentation including when to use, dos and donts, and anatomy diagramsu00a0Document 10-foot UI patterns including focus states, remote navigation, and voice interactionsRun weekly governance office hours for design teamsConduct design system audits and provide guidance on component usageProduct Design Work 40 to 50 percent of timeDesign workflows for internal tools and enterprise experiencesCreate user flows for complex service design challengesDesign marketing and promotional experiences for Fire TV/TabletBuild developer tools and partner-facing dashboardsRequired QualificationsDesign Systems Expertise 3 to 5 yearsStrong experience designing and documenting component librariesDeep understanding of design systems including tokens, components, patterns, and documentationExperience writing use case documentation and design guidelinesPortfolio showing component design work and pattern documentationUX/UI Design SkillsExcellent visual design and interaction design skillsExperience with complex workflow design including multi-step processes and enterprise toolsStrong written communication for documentation, guidelines, and specificationsProficiency in Figma including component design, prototyping, and design systemsCollaboration and CommunicationWork independently with minimal oversight as remote contractorStrong stakeholder management with designers, PMs, engineers, and 3P partnersDiplomatic consulting skills to provide guidance without stepping on toesComfortable with ambiguity and fast-paced environmentPreferred Qualifications Nice to HaveTechnical SkillsBasic HTML/CSS understanding helpful for specs but not requiredFamiliarity with design tokens such as JSON and CSS variablesExperience with UXPin Merge, Zeroheight, or StorybookKnowledge of WCAG AA accessibility standardsDevice-Specific Experienceu00a0Tablet or touch interface design including iPad or Android tabletsRemote navigation and D-pad interaction patternsIndustry Experience3P partner enablement or developer documentationB2B SaaS or enterprise tool designu00a0EEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
